Emma Jesson is a familiar and popular face of ITV Weather.
Frequently recognised for her chirpy “Bye Bye” sign-off, she originally trained to be a vet, but side-stepped into TV in her year off.
She currently presents for ITV North of England and the Midlands (Granada, Central, Border, Tyne Tees, and Yorkshire regions) but is occasionally seen south of Watford Gap and opting into Good Morning Britain.
Emma loves “live!” She especially enjoys hosting awards events and is a warm and intuitive host whose aim is always to make her guests feel special. She is adaptable, thinks on her feet, and researches thoroughly to personalise every event and give that little bit extra.
Many of her clients book her year-on-year to present their awards and dinners at locations such as NEC, Grosvenor House, Ricoh, ICC, and O2 Arena, as well as more intimate venues.
She has carved out a strong corporate niche for herself hosting award ceremonies for clients such as The Law Society, NHS, Northern Marketing Awards and the British Chambers of Commerce, as well as various charitable events, and light-hearted ladies’ nights.
Emma is as happy hosting a dinner for 80 guests as chairing a conference for 6,000. She is comfortable in any company and in all surroundings. She recently hosted for the NHS at the House of Lords and co-hosted a royal visit to the Midlands.
Emma is also an accomplished media trainer and, as well as fronting corporate videos, you’ve probably heard her voice on radio and TV adverts across the country.
Sadly she has had to turn down the offer of panto yet again this year…but there’s plenty of time for that. “Oh yes there is!”
Away from the day job she is very much a family girl, enjoys dinner and a musical, sailing, windsurfing and scuba, languages, comedy, and cooking…and (when there is time) sleeping!
