A journalist and broadcaster for more than 25 years, Andy runs his own media consultancy in Manchester working with clients like Jo, BBC, and Institute of Directors.
Andy spent 17 years as a presenter and reporter with the BBC, covering major events including presenting live from London 2012, broadcasting from the funeral of Princess Diana, covering four general elections, and presenting the award-winning BBC1 current affairs programme Inside Out. He also travelled across Europe making documentaries on the terrorism threat to the Northwest, illegal guns being smuggled into the UK, and the IRA bombing of Manchester.
He also made films with Sir Bobby Charlton, Yoko Ono, Johnny Marr, and Sir Michael Heseltine.
Andy appeared on BBC Breakfast, the Today programme and BBC 5 Live.
His passion for sport saw him report from Paris on Sir Bradley Wiggins’ historic Tour de France triumph.
Andy also presented and reported live for BBC North West Tonight from Old Trafford, the Etihad Stadium, Anfield, and Goodison Park.
Andy’s broadcasting expertise means he is equally at home chairing political and topical debates, hosting conferences, or black tie awards dinners.
He has hosted events working with Jeremy Vine and BBC Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis.
Andy lectures in journalism at the University of Central Lancashire and his other clients include the Royal College of Nursing, Saffery Champness, and NFU.
